Many of the paintings and drawings I produce are commissioned, often as a gift for a loved one or to commemorate a special occasion like a wedding, a retirement, an anniversary or a birthday. The special date can be incorporated into the painting and you will then have an heirloom that will long outlast other traditional gifts and won't be forgotten. It is also quite common for people to commission paintings for themselves!
Subject matter covered has included houses, churches and other buildings, wedding venues, boats, seascapes, landscapes and pets like dogs, cats and horses.
Prices start at around £150 for a framed drawing and around £200 for a framed oil painting, depending on the size, subject matter and type of frame chosen.
It really is quite simple to commission a painting. I will be happy to discuss all your requirements and answer all the questions you may have without any obligation. You will be supplied with details of different sized paintings along with an exact cost for each and you can then pick one which best suits your budget.

Turnberry Sunset (triptych) Each panel 24 x 28 ins. Oil
Commissioned by a keen golfer and Turnberry Golf Club member.
Once you know exactly what you want painted - or drawn - and the size you would like, a pencil sketch will be produced to show the layout of the picture. It is easy to make any changes at this stage and once you are happy with the sketch, the painting can be started. A painting can be produced in about three to four weeks after the sketch is approved (quicker if necessary!) and it can then be framed and delivered.
If you are thinking of commissioning a painting or drawing then please contact me and I can let you see further samples of previous work and give you an accurate cost without any obligation.
Fine Art Prints can also be personalised with a handwritten message - at no extra cost - and the range available and prices can be found on the the Fine Art Prints page. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements.
